Essential Oils for Different Hair Types

Got no time to hit the malls and look for the best products to care for your hair? Are the products available today too expensive for you to buy on a regular basis? Do you wish to up on money, time, and effort but still give your hair the care it deserves?

The answer to all these concerns may indeed be found in the most simple of all ingredients: the use of essential oils. Whether looking for a way to treat or prevent hair thinning and hair loss, or just looking for the best way to get shinier, healthier locks, essential oils may help. Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds extracted from plants, usually flowers. These have varying uses, and contain cleansing, nourishing and conditioning properties that help encourage the growth of fuller, thicker and healthier hair. Essential oils of different types may be found and purchased at different health and herbal shops.

Incorporate these oils to your daily beauty regimen through a Do-it-Yourself (DIY) hair treatment.
Here are different ways of essential oils for various hair types:

Characterized by neither oily nor dry strands, normal hair is the most ideal hair type – strands are neither coarse nor soft, and it has a well-balanced texture. Here’s a sample DIY hair treatment for normal strands:

Dry hair is characterized by dull, damaged tresses that are most often caused by overexposure to sunlight, excessive use of hairstyling products and color treatments, and heated styling tools.

Your locks get oily when sebum is overproduced by the glands in your scalp. It is usually because of the oil in our strands that makes our hair unmanageable.

Oily Hair

To make most out of these oil therapies, here’s how to use them as a DIY hair treatment:

Pour in the mixtures in a closed bowl and place it on top of another bowl that contains hot water.
Once warm, take a portion of the mixture using your fingertips and massage to the scalp for 5 to 10 minutes.
Cover your head with a shower cap, then wrap with a warm towel, and leave on for 30 to 40 minutes.
Afterwards, wash off the mixture using a mild shampoo.

Your hair is your crowning glory, and you don’t need to look far and invest in expensive chemicals to take care of your locks: all you need are these essential oils, and your hair will look its best.
